Libraries

The mission of the Baldwin School Libraries is to serve all community members by creating inclusive spaces that foster cultural and global curiosity, dynamic research skills and a lifelong love of reading.

Early Childhood Center

Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten visit the ECC Library, a space designed to meet the needs of our youngest learners.

  • Weekly storytimes and lessons that build upon the ECC classroom curriculum
  • The Lower School Librarian visits each ECC classroom on a weekly basis to share iPad and MacBook learning experiences designed to strengthen learning in core curriculum areas

Lower School Library

Lower School students in Grades 1-5 visit the Library weekly for storytimes, book exchange and library and technology lessons that deepen and enhance their classroom curriculum.

Goals for the Lower School Library Program: 

  • Encourage a love of reading
  • Enhance skills needed to become effective users of both print and digital information and lifelong learners

Lower School Learning Commons

The Learning Commons is a cheery, colorful, comfortable environment that is an extension of the Lower School library.

The Anne Frank Library

Benefactor of a generous $1 million gift, The Anne Frank Library serves as a central intellectual hub.

  • Information Literacy Program 
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with teachers across curriculars
  • Comprehensive print and digital resources
