Pre-K and Kindergarten

At Baldwin we know that even the smallest among us have big dreams and big adventures. Our Early Childhood Center is designed with beginnings in mind – beginning to learn, beginning to read and beginning to build the critical foundations for a lifetime of explorations.

Welcome to the Early Childhood Center

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes are located in Baldwin’s Early Childhood Center, a unique set of classrooms specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of four- through six-year-old girls. Our youngest students are fully integrated into the life of the Lower School, attending assemblies and; special subject classes, such as DREAM Lab®, science, art, music, French, Spanish, physical education and swimming.

Our doors are always open for parents to participate in their daughter's early classroom experiences. Parents are welcome to come to school and share a special interest, lead the girls in a craft, be a guest reader or take part in a variety of other activities in the Early Childhood Center.

As each girl grows, she makes connections about who she wants to become and how she learns. Our teachers individualize classroom experiences and encourage each student’s natural curiosity. Partner activities, such as book buddies and service projects with older grades help your daughter build lasting friendships with her bigger Baldwin "sisters" and by the time she graduates from Kindergarten, she’ll be ready for all Lower School has to offer.
